This website is fiction, and part of a game
marsfoundation.dev is a made-up website that forms part of NetGodz, a cyberpunk game. The Mars Foundation is not a real organisation: it was never filed, it holds no endowment, it funds no research, and it is not building a vessel. Nothing described anywhere on this site is real, nothing is for sale, no grant can be applied for, and nothing will ever ship.
Read this first, because it is the only honest page here. Every other page on this domain is written in character as an aerospace non-profit. The programmes, the grant numbers, the researchers, the launch cadence, the manifests, the audited figures and the founder are all invented for a game. If you arrived here from a search result and wondered whether any of it was genuine: it is not, none of it, including the parts that read like they have been audited.
What this site is
A piece of interactive fiction. NetGodz is a game set in a near-future world with its own companies; this is one of six websites belonging to those companies. The game’s own front door explains the whole thing out of character, and you can always get back to the truth from any page here in one click, which is the point of this page existing.
What this site is not
- It is not a registered non-profit. “NP-2000-41187” is invented.
- It is not a grant-making body. There is no award round, no panel and no money.
- It does not represent, imitate or claim association with any real space agency, space company, foundation, university, laboratory or observatory. Every organisation named on this site is fictional and any resemblance to a real one is unintended.
- Every person named on this site is fictional, including the founder. None of them is a real individual, living or dead, and none of the quotations attributed to them was ever said by anybody.
- No mission, vehicle, instrument, landing site or research result described here exists. The dates, masses, dose figures and manifests are invented and should not be relied on for anything whatsoever.
Money and personal data
This site takes neither. There is no checkout, no payment field, no donation form, no account, no login, no newsletter and no application form. The in-world sums quoted on other pages are in “credits”, a made-up currency, and cannot be bought, earned, transferred or redeemed. If any page appearing to be part of this site ever asks you for a card number, a bank detail, a password or identity documents, it is not ours and you should not give it anything.
Using the site
You are welcome to read, quote, screenshot and share it. Please do not present it as real: do not cite it as a source, do not reuse its figures in anything factual, and do not use its pages to make anybody believe a genuine foundation is behind them. Do not try to break the site or use it to host anything harmful.
No warranty, no advice
The site is provided as-is, for entertainment. Nothing on it is scientific, engineering, legal, financial or medical advice, and the fictional figures are not even wrong in an interesting way — they are simply made up. To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for any use of this fiction as though it were fact.
Changes
The game changes, so these pages change. The first sentence of this one will not: this site will always say plainly, in the place people look for the truth, that it is fiction.
Contact
Questions about the game, takedown requests, or anything that needs a real human should go through the NetGodz front door rather than the in-character postal address invented elsewhere on this site — that address is also fictional and no post is collected from it.
